Lake Cooby
Cooby Dam
Lake Cooby is located 35 km north of Toowoomba.
Only electric and non-motorised vessels suck as canoes, kayaks, row boats and sailing boats are allowed on the lake.
Swimming is not allowed and being a reserve, no dogs or other pets.
What to expect
Pleasant lake paddling surrounded by forested terrain. Restricted to electric and unpowered vessiles, the lake provides a break from the bustle seen in more popular areas during the summer months.
Lots of waterbirds can be found on the lake, including large flocks of coots, black swans and pelicans. Sea eagles and kites can often be seen
Logistics
There is a single put-in point, a boat ramp at Loveday Cove.
The area is managed by Toowoomba Council.
